Airspace Change Process
In accordance with Civil Aviation Rules, SD-DCA, the Civil Aviation Authority formally reviews each current airspace designation and classification on a regular basis.
Under Civil Aviation Rule SD-DCA para 1.5, Review of designated and classified airspace, the review must be undertaken at least every five years, to verify the continuing need for the airspace designation or classification.
When a review is undertaken an appropriate level of consultation with the industry and affected stakeholders is undertaken.
