Parachute Operator Requirements
Parachute Operators in Fiji currently operate under the provisions of an exemption. An exemption is required against the provisions of Air Navigation Regulation 81 Dropping of articles and descent by parachute which prohibits the activity.
As such, the requirements for Exemptions apply. Click HERE to view the requirements for exemptions.
The Authority will approve a parachuting organisation to operate when it is satisfied that it is competent to operate safely, and in compliance with the provisions of CAAF AIC Parachute Operations.
Approval for a parachuting operation is an exemption for persons or articles from the provisions of Air Navigation Regulation (ANR) 81(2), issued under the authority of ANR 147. 3.
The Authority issues exemptions and permissions based on the parachuting organisation membership of and compliance with policies and procedures of internationally recognized bodies set up to oversee parachute operations.
The following bodies are considered to be acceptable:
- The New Zealand Parachute Federation
- The Australian Parachute Federation Incorporated
